(no subject)
I have been indulging myself with music. ::grins:: Fort Minor, Panic! At the Disco, Alanis acoustic, and so on... I've been having fun. I have discovered that although Fort Minor is very different for what I listen to (Mike of Linkin Park - the rapper voice - put out the album himself), I am really enjoying 98% of it! I like all the songs, actually, but there are 2 that I don't like as much as I enjoy the rest of them. And Panic! At the Disco, yay for social commentary! ::laughter::
I have been on something of a spending spree. I have purchased 4 books, 4 cd's, 3 dvd's and one deck of tarot cards in the span of a week. I am currently reading "Pages of Pain", because my darling K wants me to. ::laughter:: I have not thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 chapters, as we are watching an asshole through the eyes of the Lady of Pain. I don't like this man. But K assures me that not much further in, I should be quite amused, so I will get back to it again on the morrow. I've completed all 3 Meredith Gentry novels, and whined in a recent entry about the 4th not being out in paperback until November. ::shrugs:: But! I still have "Vampire Hunter D" to read! I have never read it before, but I absolutely ADORE the anime movie that was inspired by it, so I think it will be a fun read for me.
The dvd's are "Underworld : Evolution", "Aeon Flux" (both for kicks, I enjoyed them and will do so again when they arrive!), and "Lord of the Rings" (the first one) finally. It's taken me FAR too long to pick up that last... hehe... and the tarot deck would be the Amy Brown fae deck that I have finally managed to buy. It will be here in the next couple of weeks. Yay! ::laughter:: Like I need more cards. ::shrugs:: Eh? It's one thing I tend to collect. One of MANY things I tend to collect. Which actually was completely coincidental, in truth. I purchased myself ONE (yes, really, just ONE) deck of tarot cards. Friends discovered that I liked them and was interested in that type of thing. I wound up with 2 decks from one friend because he wanted to cheer me up. I got another deck from another friend for my birthday one year. I purchased myself a 5th deck because of the awesomeness of it. And wound up with about 3 others, somewhere along the line. Oh, and I have a fae oracle. Obsessive, obsessive, obsessive. Yes, that would be me.
