We freaked out when we read this--seriously. FREAKED out. Mandy texted me in the middle of class to let me know--that's how much this comment meant to us. You're so nice to us--ha. :D Every time you come and read our stuff, we love to hear what you think. :D Gosh.
We like Ash. :D We adore him though we worry writing OCs like this (when they're just as main in the story as the A9er) is a little too much but clearly not! You proved that much. :D You said we have to implement it into the story...well see it was already the plan. :D Ha. This was more or less a test of ourselves to see if we could actually make that ship work--plus we really wanted to do an OMC and see how that faired too.
Nao/OMC (Ash) was already a pairing we decided on. :D So yay! We are ECSTATIC that you love the idea. :D
...and seriously, you kill us. :D "Have I mentioned how great you guys are?" Gosh--that...that leaves us speechless. I don't know what to say to that other than thank you. But that seems totally lame. I mean it though--thank you with every fiber of my being and of Mandy's too. :D We're glad you think we're great because we think you are too. Enough to squeal stupidly about when you comment. :D

It was actually Jackie’s idea for Ash/Nao because I was just letting the idea stay in my head that they fit. For this piece it was a challenge because I wanted it to be accessible by both those who had read God Bless Catastrophe and those who had not. However I had mentioned in passing to Jackie that I thought Ash and Nao were cute and his dead wife would be amused by the idea that Ash had a crush on a boy. Later she said, is Mercy Me going to be Nao/OMC…and I giggled and let it go. Later, after I thought on it, I was like yes - yes I think I would like for it to be. So I says to Jackie (at random), “I do think Mercy Me will be Nao/OMC…is that cool with you?”
She proceeded to tell me she freaked out in her chair because she had such a crush on Nao/Ash from that chapter outside the club. HAHA! And I said…well, me too. Then yes…yes lets do it. XD
I’m totally glad you dig it as much as we do. Expect to see this in Mercy Me. YAY!
