this is a list of asian drams I've seen and this entry is completely subjective so no bashing please.
Currently Watching:
- Cinderella's Sister: Holy shit, it's melodramatic and frustrating and sad as hell but I like it. The main actress is perfect, her acting is so REAL!
- Yankee to Megane-chan: Really cuute so far.
Kdramas:
- The first Shop of Coffee Prince: OH GONG YOO! This was one of the first dramas I watched and it will probably always be my favourite. I loved the whole pretending to be a guy story and that was the only drama I truly liked everyone in. There was no backstabbing bitch, no boring love triangle, no mom I wanted to kill... . I simply frggin loved it.
- Boys Before Flowers/Boys Over Flowers: or the show that should not be named! no words. MAJOR FAILURE! started out really good, I would have actually given the director a huge amount of money if that had stopped him from directing any further. Lee Min Ho is my favourite actor ever and he's incredibly awesome and handsome and a great actor and I love him sfm, so yeah.
- You're Beautiful: Jang Geun Suk, will you marry me? Uhrm, as predictable as the plot was, the drama was amazing. I thought the main character Go Min Nam, well, she seemed kinda dumb. I dunno, Park Shin Hye is a fabulous actress and she had awesome chemistry with JGS but it was just her character that kinda annoyed me. Shin Woo and Jeremy were really cute and I liked them a lot. And it's probably one of the best known dramas out there.
- Goong/Princess Hours: Dear god help me! I can't understand why so many people like it! It was horrible, and Yul was even more of a whiney little princess than Ji Hoo in BOF. Nope.
- 9 End 2 Outs: Highly recommend this one. It took me awhile to get into it but I really enjoyed watching that drama. It's not corny and the friendship between the two leads is all sorts of wonderful.
- A Love to Kill: This drama made me LOL so much. I didn't even finish it. I couldn't. Rains kissing scenes, well you can't even call it kissing, it was eating the female's face! And the plot was a giant mind-fuck in my opinion and just nope. Though I have to admit, the food they were eating all the time looked actually really yummy.
- Dal Ja's Spring: Despite what others might say, I friggin loved this one. Dal Ja is a 30+ year old woman who never seems to be able to have a relationship with a man. She's only been focused on her career, until Kang Tae Bong comes along that is. The Problem? He's younger.
- Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang: YUCK! is all I have to say.
- Full House: Uhrm...it was okay-ish I guess. That drama drags and drags and drags. There are a few scenes which made me LOL a lot but it's nothing special I think. And I don't want to watch the Sequel.
- Hello My Teacher: I'm not kidding when I say that a lot of people didn't like this one. But Gong Yoo is in it so I was pretty sure I will love it and I did. The Teacher is way too skinny imo and annoying at times but Goong Yoo totally makes up for it. He's not just a pretty face, he's a brilliant actor and the story is cute and it's 16 episodes of pure amazingness.
- Hong Dil Gong: Basically everybody dies. the female lead is dumb as fuck. and idk. it started off so well, I guess the writers got bored with the story rather quickly and decided to harakiri the plot.
- Iljimae: I only watched that drama for Lee Jun Ki to be honest and I liked it. The fighting scenes are kind of awesome but I didn't like the OTP. Lee Jun Ki is very soothing for the soul. Give it a shot. OH BUT DON'T WATCH THE SEQUEL IT SUCKS BALLS!
- Last Scandal: All sorts of awesome. Okay, the first few episodes are kind of boring and draggy and weird but they're hilarious since the main actress is not all dolled up and stuff but the plot is really good, very well acted and directed and it's highly recommended by me so that means you have to watch it!
- My Girl: Everybody, literally EVERYBODY loves this drama so that means I logically only liked the drama since I never seem to love anything that everybody else loves. I'm weird like that. It was cute but I got bored rather quickly and I think I kept watching for the eyecandy and I loved the theme song.
- My lovely Kim Sam Soon: I hated the drama except for the episode in which you get to see them kissing in the toilet! I strangely liked that. :)
- Que Sera Sera: I'm sorry if I offend anyone by saying this but this drama is all sorts of awesome! It's not corny, it's sexy though the innocent looking female lead actress is kinda dumb but whatever. Jealousy is a VERY BIG part of the drama and I thought all the actors did a very good job portraying their characters. watch it.
- Shining Inheritance: Never hated a stepmother as much as I did in this one. Holy motherfucking jesus. THAT stepmom is queen bitch and I'm not kidding and so is her real daughter. ARGH! Anyway Shining Inheritance or Brilliant Legacy is brilliant. Eun Sung/Hwan are most definitely one of my all time favourite OTPs ever. Hwan is such an ass in the first 15+ episodes but he's amazing as he changes, and Lee Seung Gi is a pretty looking dimple person. :)
- Snow White: Kinda dumb, but I liked it. Don't ask me why...I just did.
- Stairway to Heaven: Uhrm...I cried so much whilst watching Stairway to Heaven, so much that even my grandma came into my room asking me if I was alright. So you shouldn't watch this one when you're feeling depressed. It will probably make you want to commit suicide. But it's a good drama, with amazing actor. They're not that pretty but they're good.
- Time Between Dog and Wolf: Holy shit! I've never seen an action kdrama like this one. Lee Jun Ki is friggin perfect in it. I enjoyed the plot, the OTP, the music, the bad guy...everything about it was awesome and I actually want to rewatch it. It's been awhile.
- Tree of Heaven: All they're doing is crying basically. I don't want to know how many tissues they used for that drama. I didn't really like it because all they did was crying. I can't say it enough. They cry in every DAMN scene.
- What Star Did You Come From: The Story is quite simple. Guy loves Girl. Girl dies. Guy grieves. A twin of the dead girl appears. Guy falls in love again. Happy END! Sounds bad but it was actually quite nice. And believe me when I say that the main actress CAN CRY. she's the queen. she sucks in all the others scenes but she friggin nails the crying scenes.
- Soulmate: I WANT A SEQUEL! I know it was a bit draggy at first but it got really good later on. And the ending sucked!,because there is no ending. He goes off to Tokyo and so does she. Will they meet again? HELLO I want answers.
- IRIS: I only watched this for TOP and his super hotness and amazing acting skills, yes I'm biased but whatever. :) It started out REALLY REALLY good but I'm still not sure if I fully loved it or not. The ending made me wanna scream and throw something against the wall but yeah. I think I loved it, might rewatch it again. :)
- Oh My Lady: OH DEAR FUCKING GOD CHOI SI WON!!!!!! <33 He's the best thing ever in this drama, plus he's my favourite member of Super Junior but whatever. The 1st episode was boring and I was like WTF but HOLY SHIT WAS I WRONG?!?!?!?! It's one of the best Kdramas EVERR and his "daughter" is probably the cutest child on the planet. I definitely want this drama on DVD. :)
- Personal Taste: BEST KDRAMA EVERRRRR!!! I'M SO INCREDIBLY SAD IT'S OVER! :( THIS ONE WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVOURITE ONE AND NO IT'S NOT BECAUSE OF LMH AND MY UNDYING LOVE FOR HIM BUT BECAUSE ( OKAY LMH IS ONE REASON WHY I LOVE IT SO MUCH) IT'S AMAZING AND PERFECT! AND THE OTP IS TOO CUTE FOR WORDS AND BECAUSE IT MADE ME CRY AND LAUGH AND HAD ME IN ORGASMS LOOL <33333333333
KMovies: 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant, 200 Pounds Beauty, A Millionaires first Love, A Wolf's Temptation, Do Re Mi So La Si Do, He was Cool (BRILLIANT!), My Tutor Friend 1&2, SDiary, Secucing Mr. Perfect, Virgin Snow,Baby and I
Jdramas:
- 1 Litre of Tears: Based on a true story of a young girl that suffers from an incurable disease. I literally cried 1 Litre of Tears. It's totally worth watching. Erika Sawajiri did an excellent job, probably her best performance. The soundtrack is fantastic as well. 5 Stars.
- Zettai Kareshi: Ohmygod! That series was soo incredibly cute. <3
- Code Blue: urgh...why yamapi why? You can do so much better. The cold-shoulder character usually suits you just fine but I don't know. I couldn't get into it and I don't plan on watching the Sequel.
- First Kiss: mao was a bitch. nice plot. worth watching.
- Gokusen 1&2&3: It's got Matsujun, Oguri Shun, and the gorgeous Narimiya Hiroki. Do I need to say more? Oh well, the 3rd one wasn't great though, in fact I didn't like it at all.
- Hana Kimi: Everybody knows this drama. Everybody loves it. ME TOO! Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma. His brilliant I'm not gay dance, the awesomeness that is Mizushima Hiro and all the hilarious moments and just...it's perfect. Even the Special is amazing!
- Hana Yori Dango: Uhrm I'm pretty sure I don't have to say anything about it since everybody knows it.
- Jotei: FAIL!
- Kimi wa Petto: I watched this one right after I finished Hanadan and it was honestly just as good. It's basically about an "older" lonely lady who randomly finds a guy on the street, they start living together, they fall in love, the end. Matsujun is really good in this one so if you liked HYD you will enjoy this just as much.
- Koizora: Movie was much better. The End.
- Kurosagi: Yamapi and Mika. A LOT of people ship them. Good Drama.
- Last Friends: Nishikido Ryo abuses his wife. Can't remember anything else right now, but I'm pretty sure I liked it.
- Love Shuffle: Great Cast. No plot., like at all. Airu and Kei were great together and awfully cute but there was just no plot. It was fun to watch though and shirtless Tamaki Hiroshi (though he looks very anorexic in this one) and Matsuda Shota were pretty easy on the eyes if you know what I mean.
- Majo no Jouken: Fantastic drama about a student who falls in love with his pretty teacher. it's a MUST - WATCH in my opinion.
- Maou: This is the japanese version of Mawang (The Devil kdrama) and I fucking loved it. I mean I'm a die hard Ohno Satoshi Fan who's incredibly talented in everything he does and there's also Toma in it and I can't give you a specific reason why I liked it so much but it was different and dark and awesome.
- Mei-chan no Shitsuji: Mizushima Hiro as a butler, insanely cute OTP and hilarious moments. The cast is great and the adaption was a success in my opinion. Fluff!
- Nobuta Wo Produce: Again, everybody knows this drama. I really like Kamenashi and he was insanely good in this drama, I wanted to marry Yamapi and Maki is painfully amazing. They worked very well together and it's one of my favourite Jdramas.
- Nodame Cantabile: I can't even nearly discribe the love I have for this drama. It features a lot of classical music so if you don't like classic you should stay away. Noda is a very crazy yet insanely awesome girl and pianist who rather wants to be a kindergarden teacher. She meets Chiaki who is an extremely good pianist/violinist but wants to become a conducter. He's also an arrogant son of a bitch (mind my words) but I would totally fall in love with him as well. Noda is head over heals for him immediately, it takes Chiaki much longer to realize that though. Hilarious scenes included. <3
- Orange Days: A drama about a mute but temperamental girl who used to play the violin. I can't remember much of it but it was surprisingly good and it's one of those dramas that are highly underestimated. oh let me say it again Narimiya Hiroki<3, as the bad guy who changes for the better because of what? Exactly,...a girl. :)
- Pride: I will love this drama forever. It's so friggin badass and it's about ice hockey as well and I love that sport so yeah. WATCH IT OR I'LL HUNT YOU IN YOUR DREAMS!
- Tatta Hitotsu no Koi: Another Kamenashi drama which I really enjoyed. He's poor, She's rich and used to have cancer. No worries nobody's gonna a die. Cute love story, brilliant cast. Worth watching!
- Tokyo Dogs: I actually wanted to stop watching that show but thank god I didn't. It's hilarious and Oguri Shun is a hot detective and Hiro is insanely stupid but loveable as hell and dear god. I want to rewatch it. It's awesome. It's not your general cheesefest. They're only hinting a possible lovestory that's why I love my OTP in this one.
- Tokyo Tower: Blah. Matsujun Fans should check it out. I didn't like it. I didn't even watch it till the end tbh.
- Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge/Perfect Girl Evolution: I'm still a bit in awh because I loved it so much. It's an adaption of the Manga The Wallflower and it's brilliant. Kame, you fine piece of *** I bow down to you seriously. The girl that played Sunako-Chan is definitely one of the best actresses I've seen plus she's so pretty and incredibly awesome at acting. The chemistry between them both was perfect and I simply loved the entire cast.I'm hoping for a season 2 or a SP tbh.<3
JMovies: 1 Litre of Tears, Crow Zero 1&2 ( hot asskicking Oguri Shun), Death Note 1,2,3 (loved the manga & the movies), Hanadan Final, Koizora, Kurosagi, Nana1,2 ( WATCH THEM . If you like JRock WATCH!), Tada Kimi Wo Aishiteru,
Taiwanese Dramas:
- Bull Fighting: I admit. I only watched this one because of Mike He and his incredibly goodlooking self. But as much as I love him and Basketball, the drama sucked! It's not a complete waste of time but it's not anywhere near my favourite drama. Mike fans will watch it nonetheless. I'm pretty sure about that.
- Corner With Love: I'm currently rewatching this drama, mainly because I've always been a fan of Show Lou and I've been on a Show Lou High lately and CWL is so damn cute. It's the old rich-girl poor-boy concept but what makes it so awesome is that rich girl becomes poor, ends up living with poor boy and stays strong nonetheless. They're ALWAYS argueing which is quite entertaining and it's simply brilliant.
- Devil Beside You: Mike He and Rainie Yang. Bad boy and Good Girl like each other, unfortunately become stepsiblings, hide their love in front of their parents but there's a happy ending and an incredibly lickable Mike He so what are you waiting for?
- Fated to love you: VERY DRAMATIC...but kind of good. Stickynote girl happens to have a one night stand with the "handsome" (beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder I know) main guy, she gets pregnant, after a long back and forth they end up together. 25 episodes. I would've liked it better if it was shorter but oh well. It's a good one. Can't complain.
- Hana Kimi: THE TAIWANESE VERSION SUCKS BALLS! No go. Wu Zun, Jiro Wang and Ella...I usually really like you guys but nope. Not in this one.
- Hi My Sweetheart: Corny and stupid as hell but I fucking loved it. It just recently ended and I was crying because of it. It's sooo good, and no I'm not saying this because I have this huge thing for Show Lou, like GIANT THING for him, but nope, it's an incredibly awesome drama. He's a dork who becomes a hunk, the girl is antisocial and badass who falls in love with the dork. Due to a misunderstanding they part ways on bad terms for three years but it all ends well. And I want to marry Show Lou so. :)
- It Started With A Kiss 1&2: There will never be a person dumber than the main female character in this drama. Even a rock has an higher IQ than this girl. The storyline and Joe Cheng make up for it, and Ariel portrays the dumb as fuck character very well so it's defintiely worth watching and I used to be obsessed with it. I spent hours watching ISWAK.
- Love Contract: Dropped it after a few episodes. Boring. Not even Mike could make up for it. Sorry.
- MARS: I watched this because I friggin adored the Manga. The actors had such chemistry and the drama was just fucking brilliant. No wonder they hooked up in real life. Broke up already.
- Meteor Garden 1&2: POOR.
- My lucky Star: The drama was good but too long I guess. Rich boy runs away from home and rebels a little bit, meets a girl who's lying a lot but they're going through some shit together and end up falling in love. Due to a misunderstanding they seperate, they meet again, he wants to take revenge on her but ends up falling in love all over again. It's not as bad as it sounds and actually good.
- Rolling Love: COMPLETELY ERASED FROM MY MEMORY! AND I DON'T WANT TO BE REMINDED!
- Romantic Princess: Dropped it after a few episodes because I couldn't take the awful acting anymore.
- Silence: Oh god...the male lead dies in the end. Cancer. There's a lot more to the drama and the acting was wonderful to be honest and I can sincerely say that I truly loved it.
- Smiling Pasta: NO THANK YOU!
- Summer X Summer: Dumb girl meets arrogant dumb model boy. This drama sucked balls though the theme song is quite good!
- ToGetHer: CUUUUTE! Jiro Wang and Rainie Yang (with a bad wig) . She's the antisocial shy girl who gets bullied by her classmates, he's a former singer who's not popular anymore. They meet in college, end up living together and what? YES, fall in love. It's full of fluffiness and drama. But it wouldn't be a TW drama if there was no drama. :)
- Why Why Love: This was much much better than Devil Beside You. It actually had a plot and fucking loved it. Mike He and Rainie Yang again, they look nice together I guess. Uhrm...the only thing I didn't like about it was the last few episodes..it got kind of draggy and the whole liver donating thing was just too much. Other than that It was friggin brilliant.
- Autumns Concerto: Excuse the strong use of CAPS but THIS HAS GOT TO BE MY FAVOURITE TAIWANESE DRAMA EVER!!!The main character's been through so much shit yet they all get their happy end AND THE ADORABLE KID XIAO XIAO BIN IS JUST ANOTHER REASON WHY I LOVE THIS DRAMA SO MUCH!Seriously, the plot is amazing, the actors are brilliant,it could've ended sooner but that didnt make it all that draggy and shit it was just downright perfect. I miss it already.
- Down with Love: Jerry Yan and Ella <333 Jerry's acting improved so damn much and he's too cute for words in this one and the entire story is just pure fluff and waaaaaaah <333 the last episode is cute but the ending was a bit too....they rushed everything and i still dont know how I like the ending but overall? AWESOME DRAMA , I'll miss it.<33
