i make mistakes. they are kind of embarrassing.
What's up with me? In a word: stress. I am stressed out. The last critique was one of the worst experiences of all time! Not only did I make one too many poor choices, but my professor was vicious and I had a raging fever. Never again. Now, I only have about 458325948 things to take care of.

Today while leaving work, I made the usual small talk with Rosa, one of the cleaning ladies. I said, “happy holidays,” but she didn’t understand what I was trying to say. So finally I told her, “Feliz Cumpleaños.”
She looked so confused. A second later, I realized that I had just wished her a happy birthday. Then, I dashed into the nearest restroom and gave myself a nasty look in the mirror.
