So....went to the show.
Gave Shannon the disc. He held my hand. I said I knew it was dumb. He smiled at me and told he was very eager to look at it.
Probably lying....but hey....he held my hand.
Asked Jared about pictures....he said they couldn't at the table and to meet him at the bus. We asked where the bus was, he responded, "Somewhere out around here."
*giggles*
We find the bus on the street behind the venue....and the batteries in my camera die. And so did a little piece of me.
Shannon was out there at the time....was very patient and silly with me....he touched my knuckles necklace (and you know where that sits....like an inch below the neckline of a normal t-shirt....gah!) and said he liked it....so I explained what it was. He giggled.
I fidgeted with the batteries....trying to see if I could get them to work for the one picture.
No avail.
I went over when he was done talking to someone, and he asked, "Did you fix it?", I said, "No, but can I just get a hug?" He said sure and gave me the nicest, sincerest hug I have ever gotten in my life. I said, "I'll come see you guys again, so it's not a big deal anyway." He pulled away and smiled at me, hand lingering on my shoulder, and told me to have a good night anyway.
Am I still basking? Yes I am. True, no pic....but I don't care. That was one of the nicest meetings I've ever had with a band member. He is possibly the sweetest thing ever.
Here's my pics from the night:
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v110/worshipglamrock/30STM%205-14-06/ The sub albums are the openers. I met someone from each of the bands.
For Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, I met the guy on the far right of the stage....I took a nice solo shot of him as well. I met him after the show. Very sweet and willing to talk.
For Keating, I met the lead singer. Jake. Jake was a sweet one. I went up to simply buy their album and had a very nice conversation with him and the drummer from Men, Women & Children (who vaguely resembled Adam Busch, it was weird). He asked my name and shook my hand (three times!). He was very nice.
For Men, Women & Children, I met the drummer, the lead singer, and the keyboardist (the one with the long wavy hair in a few of the pics). The drummer, I gotta give props to. Their CD was $12. I had $11. He gave it to me anyway. I asked him if he wanted me to get another dollar (since I had given mom my last dollar just a few moments beforehand), but he refused and shook my hand.
I now have all of them on my MySpace.
So, overall, the concert experience was good. And I was a lot braver then I thought I could be. I mean, I stood right in front of Jared Fucking Leto and just shot the shit with him at the signing. I don't know where I found the balls.
And now, it's relaxation time. Work awaits tomorrow.
