Whee

Okay. So here it is. My Chi-town update. Get excited (no, actually, don't.)

Chicago is nice. Cold but nice. Although, I say cold and like 3 days ago I was wearing flip flops, so I think that Chicago just gets a bad rap due to all this, "lake effect" business. It is really windy though. When that wind comes blowing it will knock you directly on your hiney.

I have a nice warm (Michael Kors! Eek! Yea Project Runway!) coat and a delicious pair of zip up (to allow for ventilation and easier removal) Uggs. And a pair of gloves, two hats and a scarf so when the real cold comes, I'll be able to kick its ass.

What I DON'T have is a "real job." I have a fun, awesome, part time job teaching little kids dance, gymnastics and theatre (which is so perfect for me, I could vomit) but its only a few hours a week, so I'm in desperate need of an actual job. How desperate you ask?? I'm willing to work retail. In December. Yea, I know. Lets just hope it doesn't come to that. I had a great interview yesterday and I have another one today to tutor with The Princeton Review because aparently, working with kids is something my subconcious is really into (My actual concious is actually freaking out).

I started NaNoWriMo last night because aparently I really do want to kill myself. Also because I'm using it for my presentation I'm giving at my interview today. We'll see how that goes.

I'm still learning to navigate the transportation system/"grid" Chicago has (they say its a grid, and it is, in that things are divided up into rectangles and what not, but the fact that the streets have names not numbers means that its a "grid" not a normal grid). They rely a lot more on buses here, which sucks because buses are my absolute least favorite mode of transportation.

Uhhh, what else?? Oh, I turned 22, I still can't spell, and I now am the proud auntie/sister to 3 adorable, psychotic cats named Agnes, Miller and Squid who are being too quiet for comfort.
