To test if your anti-virus is working or not, copy and paste the following into a text file and save it as a .com file
X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*
mine didn't even need to rename to .com file
nice to see that my downloaded professional av works in real-time
now the trick is to download a bunch of professional av programs, put them all on, and create the file. Which ever av detects it first and deletes it is the one I'll keep
