Title: The Watcher
Rating: PG
Pairing: Hurley/Libby
Warning: Fluffy, first character POV
I like to watch her.
I know, I sound like one of those serial stalkers on America’s Most Wanted. But seriously, dude, she’s gorgeous. Not Kate or Shannon gorgeous, where it’s in your face. Those sort of girls where always unapproachable for a guy like me. No, she’s the sort of gorgeous that you have to look at twice to really notice it, but it’s there.
And she’s not only physically gorgeous. She’s got a good soul. She’s kind and caring and compassionate. Just yesterday I watched her help Claire with the baby.
And there I go again mentioning the watching.
Dude, I’m not crazy, really, I swear. And I’m not some twisted psycho either. I’m just a guy who likes a girl. Actually, she’s not a girl, far from it. She’s a woman, a real woman. She’s classy and smart, even smarter then Jack in my opinion, and that’s saying alot.
I want to talk to her, I really do. I would love to just walk up to her and strike up a conversation, something riveting or humorous. But knowing me, I’d just end up screwing it up, like I always do. That’s me, the screw up in the family, the black sheep. I know that if I hadn’t won the lottery, mama would never had thought of me the way she did. I was crazy Hugo to her, the disappointment.
Oh look, there she goes. It looks like she’s been to check up on Claire again. The two of them seem to have really bonded, which seems to have pissed off Charlie to no end for some reason. Whatever dude, he’s been acting nuts lately. He’s the one who should be in a straitjacket, not me.
And now she’s smiling at me as she passes, and I literally melt inside. I had no idea I could feel like this.
I like to watch her.
Maybe it’s time to do something more.
