I got into a car crash wednesday night. I was driving home on Pyramid Way and a crazed man in a yellow corvette rear-ended me, hard, spinning my poor ELement and I into the center divide and back around to the far right side, settling on a steep slope. I won't know the details until I get the police report, but the firemen on the scene told me the same gentleman was in an accident earlier that day, having done the exact same thing plowing into a moving vehicle from behind. Pretty strange. My "lunchbox" was totaled, the back was completely caved in. When I went to get the rest of my things at the tow yard, i was shocked to see the extent of the damage. The back seats had split in the middle and were almost touching the driver's seat. It's pretty amazing nobody got hurt.
I have a new "lunchbox" now, insurance got to work pretty fast. I'll have to wait and see how this all works out. I had to drive on Pyramid today, it was rather unsettling seeing the black lines swirling all over the road. I have a kind of paranoid, irrational fear right now, not really directed at anything in particular. I hope that goes away soon.
