Dean knows now that he made a deal in a moment of weakness and that it was the worse thing that he could have done. He’d never admit that out loud but he knows that it was wrong. As of late, Sammy’s been too brittle, too on edge, and Dean fears for the future when he is trapped in Hell paying for his weakness and Sammy’s alone. Dean hates the way that Ruby looks at Sam and he hates the way in which his brother responds to the demon. Sam’s blind to the predatory nature of Ruby. Yet Dean has realized too late that he has potentially played the hand that was dealt to him in the exact way that the Yellow Eyed Bastard and his minions had wanted him to play it. And the worse thing is that Dean knows there’s nothing he can do about it now.
