Summary: Harry and Ginny have broken up again.

There’s music playing on the wireless but neither of them is really listening to it. Instead, Ginny is staring out the window while trying to come to terms with the fact that Harry Potter has broken her heart all over again. Luna is sitting on the sofa, waiting until Ginny’s ready to listen. When Ginny finally turns around, it seems as if several hours have passed instead of a few minutes.
“Who really needs him anyway?” Luna softly asks.
“I did.”
“No you don’t,” Luna replies as she pats Ginny’s hand.
Ginny knows that Luna’s right but she doesn’t know what she’ll do now. She’s about to ask Luna how she’s supposed to go on, when Luna leans over and kisses her. It was supposed to be a kiss on the cheek but Ginny had turned to ask her question causing their lips to meet and a frisson of pleasure along her spine.
It seems natural for Ginny to pull Luna closer and to deepen the kiss. Luna sighs before pulling back.
“Not tonight,” Luna says with a dreamy smile on her face.
“But,” Ginny begins.
“Not until you’re over him.”
There’s a promise in the air between them and Luna kisses her again.
“I don’t mind waiting a few more days,” Luna declares.
