Diana silently watches the pair in surprise. She knows that she should alert them to her presence in the abandoned house but she can't find the words to do so. Instead she feels shame and lust as she watches as Adam picks Faye up before setting her down on a table. There's an intensity in their kiss that makes Diana jealous. Adam was always intense with her but never quite as he is with Faye.
She feels a rush of desire wash over her as Adam pulls Faye's clingy top off. Yet she can't help but wonder how this came to be. Diana had broken up with Adam because of his supposed destiny with Cassie. Somehow she had assumed that with Jake out of the picture it would only be a matter of time before Adam and Cassie were paired off.
Yet as she watches the couple, Diana wonders about the familiarity in their touches. There's a rawness in their hunger that Diana realizes was never in the kisses that she had once shared with Adam and it makes her jealous. There's no way that she can ever compare to Cassie or even Faye, no matter what Adam tells her that he feels for her.
