She knows that she's nothing more than a substitute. A pale imitation of who Angel truly wants. His fangs scrape her neck and she arches her neck to give him the access that he desires. His hands are firm on her body and he cries out her name but Faith knows that he wants Buffy. When his fangs finally pierce her neck, she wraps her legs around his waist and she shudders in both shame and desire. Even now when she should be grateful for this moment, she's still coming in second place, miles behind Buffy. When Angel kiss her, her blood is on lips and she twists her lips at the bitter taste of it. He doesn't notice and Faith wonders why she tries, why she lets him break her over and over again when she knows the truth. She'll never be Buffy.
