Book List 2010

Jan 01, 2011 00:39

It's not quite 2011 yet (there are still, oh, 5 minutes to go in 2010), but since I'm dogsitting at home, alone, and since unless I gain the ability to stop time in the next... 3 minutes (the dog needed to be let out, it chewed up 2 minutes), there is no way I will finish another book before it really is 2011, I decided to post my annual list of books read in 2010.

Titles in italics are books I re-read. Titles in bold are proof copies (ARCs) that I got from publishing reps.

The List is merely a record of what I read, it is not necessarily an endorsement of any of the titles. Some are books that I read and hated (not very many, but one or two). Some are books that I read and liked, but are not likely to be liked by anyone else. At all. Ever. (One of the books on this list features a cowboy vampire bounty hunter as the romantic interest. Another two are a series about cheerleading spies. I leave you to draw your own conclusions about my taste.) And some are books that I read, LOVED, forced my friends to read, and watched on proudly as they, in turn, forced their friends to read them. (Okay, ONE book got that level of love. That book was Feed by Mira Grant, and if you haven't read it yet, you need to. Like, yesterday.).

Also, I read exactly 100 books this year. How cool is that? (Yes, for the record, I am aware that my definition of 'cool' is somewhat different from the normal, Earth definition of cool.)

Thanks to the fiddling that copying from Word to LJ and sticking said Word list under a cut requires, and stopping in the middle to watch pretty fireworks on television, it has now been 2011 for nearly half an hour.

Happy New Year, everyone. Hope 2011's your best year yet.

Love,
Sass

PS For those of you waiting for Christmas cards from me... I have written about half, and haven't posted any yet. I am kind of terrible at this sort of thing. I will get them in the post as soon as possible, I promise.
