Poetry

First off, I'd like to say, Valentine's Day officially sucks. :) Now, in English, we're studying poetry, kind of, and I wrote two poems. The first one is not at all my style and I really just...don't like it. I tried to put emotion behind it but I really just couldn't come up with anything in school. I'm dried of emotions. 'Til the second poem came along.

(I never title my poetry, only one exception)

Tender embrace of love
Place ashen wings of a dove
The transformed call signifying it
The it I never wanted to fit
A label of heartbreak
Melancholy, a mistake
So hard had I tried
But still it can't be denied
The strong embrace in hich I hid
Is no longer there, and I rid
Rid myself of pain
Only to raise cain

It had to rhyme, and it sucks like heaven. :)

(My better poem. >))

Waves crashe harshly
Against jagged shores of dispair
Trees covered in a putrid gray
Sitting high atop a hill
The beast jailed within
Deeply weezing, longing
Longing to reach the heavens
Or even hell
Strict rules caging her
Pale, dank skin
Nearly stripped from the skeleton
Blood streaming from her eyes
Pain engulfing her body
Morbi, hostile thoughts
Surrounding her mind
In more ways than one
Depressing memories of joy and rapture
Causin her body to tremble
Scarred face hid in her palms
The struck back sliding
Sliding down the streak of crimson
Streak of scarlet
Past exposed
Curled up tightly
As the whip lashes
Hungry to grip the pain
Once again
