yomimashouauthor's note: More Zero fic! I personally choose to believe that Seigi and Yuuki came back together from Dream Kingdom and lived happily ever after, so this is just a snapshot of their lives after the drama. This is set probably just before the "1 year later" epilogue that you see in Episode 10 of the drama. Written for Shiritori @

summary: Maybe things are still a little awkward now, and maybe they'll continue to be awkward for some time to come, but Yuuki think that this life that they've built together is definitely more than enough for him.
"Satisfactory, I guess," Yuuki says with a roll of his eyes, only to be met with a spluttering flail.
"What do you mean, 'Satisfactory?!'" Seigi bursts in response, his expression an almost comical mix of indignant and what can only be described as resembling a deflated balloon. "I went out and got the exact thing you told me to get and did exactly what you told me this time!! What else am I supposed to do?!"
Yuuki purses his lips and crosses his arms across his chest, looking at Seigi with raised eyebrows. "Well, for one thing, you could pay attention the first time so that you didn't have to go out a second time."
Seigi's face flushes in frustration, and his expression changes to that of a small child being scolded for something for which he wants to do anything but take responsibility. "How was I supposed to know that the stupid yogurt you wanted had to go into the refrigerator??" he bursts, looking indignantly at Yuuki.
"Because pretty much all yogurt has to go in the refrigerator?" Yuuki replies, giving Seigi a skeptical look.
"Well how would I know that?!" Seigi argues back, pouting further. "I never even bought groceries before you started living here!"
You're not embarrassed by that statement? Yuuki wants to ask, but he knows that will only get Seigi further into a funk, and so he sighs heavily, rolling his eyes. It's been about a year since Yuuki had come back from Dream Kingdom with Seigi and basically immediately moved in with him-- after all, there was nothing left for him in his previous life, nothing but regret and hundreds of thousands of yen worth of debt-- and while they had immediately fit together in basically all aspects of their lifestyles almost scarily well for people who had only been acquainted for 6 days, there were still a lot of little bumps along the way. The fact that Seigi had basically lived as a hermit, only leaving his computer to answer the door for the delivery food he ordered for every meal, caused more than a few of them, but luckily, while aggravating at the time, they were mostly harmless. Yuuki knows that in a few hours, he'll laugh about this, just like he always did when he uncovered yet another aspect of normal life that Seigi had never experienced, having never worked a real job and making all his money from Bitcoin and stock trading, but that doesn't really alleviate the exasperation he feels in the moment.
And so, "You're supposed to be an IT genius, aren't you?" he replies, annoyed. "I'd think you would have noticed that the yogurt was in the refrigerated area in the convenience store."
But, "I'm an IT genius, not a grocery shopping genius!" Seigi snaps back in total seriousness, and at that, Yuuki can't help but laugh, despite his annoyance.
"Well, that's for sure," he agrees, but he can already feel the frustration melting away as he gazes at Seigi's face, his brow furrowed in annoyance, his lips pouting in a way that Yuuki can really only describe as adorable. And so, "Come on, stop pouting. Will you feel better if I say I forgive you?" he adds in a lighter tone, moving a little closer and wrapping his arms around Seigi to pull him into a hug.
"...Maybe," Seigi replies poutily, sounding again like a child being scolded, and it's a part of his personality, his tendency to behave like a grade-schooler looking for approval from his teacher or else a big, cuddly dog wanting to be praised by its owner, that Yuuki can't help but love.
And so, "In that case... thank you for going out to buy a replacement for the yogurt that went bad; it was more than satisfactory," he praises softly, and even though he can't see Seigi's face, he can tell, somehow, from the sound of his breathing and the feeling of his body against Yuuki's own that he's smiling, as well. Maybe things are still a little awkward now, and maybe they'll continue to be awkward for some time to come, but Yuuki thinks that this life that they've built together, after their respective difficult pasts, is definitely more than enough for him.
