At long last, the uchiwa are finally done! As always, they're not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how they came out. The theme was the letterman jackets from the s3art tour (everyone's favourite costumes right now… XD) and I think they fit the theme. I made Ino-chan for me, Yabu for
yomimashou, and Keito for
britkit27~
Progress pic! For some reason, there's a satisfying feeling to being done all the stickers.
The finished product! I did Yabu first, so he's probably the least perfect, but I think it came out all right. The purple paper was a huge bitch-- it was like a layer of sequins between a layer of adhesive and a layer of purple-tinted plastic, maybe? It was super thick and difficult to cut through, and because there were actual sequins in there, it was hard to made the edges neat. But I don't think the finished product looks so bad!
Ino-chan! I'm happy with how it turned out. It was difficult to get the spacing of the "i" right, but since it and the no are more blocky than ya or bu, it was easy to make it spaced evenly, unlike on Yabu's.
Keito's was basically starting from scratch again in terms of design, since no one calls him "Keito-chan" lol (the other two say "Yabu-chan" and "Ino-chan"), and since "7" took up a very different amount of space than "BEST." The blue seal paper was impossible for the opposite reason as the purple; it was too thin and had no stiffness or integrity, so parts of it would fall and stick before I was ready, creating bumps and bubbles, which was a huge pain to deal with. But I think it came out all right in the long run! Keito, as usual, you're a pain. |D;
All three together! They're not perfect, but I think they look good.
Now we just have to hope that we hit for the Osaka Countdown Concert ahaha.
