King & Queen & Joker fic!

Oh my god, it's DONE. I finally managed to finish my King & Queen & Joker AU! This is in the top 10 longest fics I've ever written (I know I write really short fics, sob), so I'm glad I made it to the end T__T;

I love this so much ♥♥♥ Shori is perfect, all the poetry, all the details of the AU, just yes. I want to reread and tell you all the little things I liked, so consider this my placeholder comment until I have time, but seriously, I'm so glad you finished this ♥

I still love this~ I really enjoyed the progression of their relationship, from Shori's adorable starry-eyed crush and Kento's flirting to them really falling in love and Kento staying with Shori in his time of need. And I love the different things Shori writes poetry about in each section, so cute~ I think all the little details of the AU really help build the mood, like Shori comparing Kento to church windows, and all the mentions of God and praying XD And I liked all the bits about Shori seeing Kento as shining~

the handkerchief absorbs all of Shori's attention, all of his time, and when he's done, he thinks, it's only appropriate that it feels as if he's poured his soul into it. In less than a year, he'll promise himself to Kento in church, but for now, giving him a piece of his heart feels right. I really like this line, I feel like it's perfect both for Shori and for the verse

Aww, I'm glad you liked it. I really tried to show the growth of their relationship through the little snapshots in this fic. I'm really afraid of how historically inaccurate it is, but… oh well. >__> And haha of course Shori writes poetry about everything. XDD

Aaaah, where to begin ;~; おつかれさま on finishing, is a good place I guess! Another into the top ten, Shori's so wordy~

I love all the little details and I know you said it's probably crazy historically inaccruate but still |D Just stuff like the realities of attendants everywhere and Kento's time being so ridiculously managed, and Shori having to take lessons upon lessons, and how they don't actually see each other much even once they're married, and Kento's advisors being so ready to replace Shori. It really adds to the feeling of time passing and how the story takes place over years and this isn't just some isolated thing, there's a whole world that they're part of with tons of people we don't even hear about let alone see.

And of course Shori is so Shori - thinking of a hankercheif as a form of artistic expression (which I guess embroidery is, but still |D;;) and attributing his lack of breath more to feelings than the corset he's still not used to and pressing flowers, and shooing off his attendants cause he doesn't want them to

I'm glad you liked the details XD I researched what I could but it's hard without really knowing exactly what to look for. Poor them, always busy and never having time together. It only goes downhill from here |D; But I'm glad I did an okay jb of building the world. ^^

Yeah, well XD I honestly can't imagine his needlework is that good |D;;; But yeah.. x__x; Kento can probably put both hands around his waist and have his fingers touch.

omggg I liked this so much ;___; I'm just sort of like rolling around grinning bc it was so cute & adorable and it made me so happy~ haha I had to stop reading a few times as I was beginning to grin stupidly and I might have attracted unwanted attention, such as from the people who drive the padded wagons. However, now that I have finally(!) been able to finish it, I am just ridiculously happy that this exists.

there is Kento, in all of his glory, magnificent and radiant and dressed from head to toe in red, and Shori almost thinks he's going to faint

But aside from all of the things I am squealing over because I am actually a 12-year-old girl I love all of the research that you clearly did for this fic. None of us were around in the 1700s (unless Gackt is on your friends list?) so of course any slight inaccuracies would not only be understandable, but would almost certainly sail right over our heads haha. I loved the beautiful descriptions of everything, from the clothing to the settings to life at court. I absolutely am enamored with things like this.

I also really love how you made a whole world out of like a four minute PV haha. I am so amazed & happy that you linked this to me as I never would have otherwise found it |D I am sorry for this comment as I am not going to read back over it before I send it so please accept my apologies lol. ♥
