I did this meme approximately three years ago (oh god) in January 2011, but I figured I'd do it again since I've gotten into new things and made new friends since then!
Pick a character and I will give and explain the top five ideas/concepts/etc I keep in mind while writing that character that I believe are essential to accurately depicting them

① His first priority is himself. That sounds bad, but what I mean is, he will do what he needs to to stay safe and healthy. He prioritizes his health and personal happiness enough to know he shouldn't do things that make him unhappy or unwell, no matter how much other people want him to. He's not afraid to say no to things that he doesn't want to do.
② He sees himself objectively. He recognizes what he's good at, and isn't afraid to congratulate himself on his successes and feel good about himself when he does things right, but he also isn't afraid of taking criticism and learning from his mistakes. However, if someone criticizes him and he doesn't think their criticisms are valid, he's also perfectly capable of ignoring them, because he loves himself for who he is, even if he does try to learn and grow as a person. Also, he's not very appearance conscious, because he simply likes himself the way he is.
③ He cares about other people. Be it his friends or his fans, he likes making other people happy. He goes the extra mile to try to make his fans have a good time at concerts, like doing uchiwa requests, and he also tries to support his friends as much as possible. Making other people happy makes him happy.
④ He likes adrenaline rushes. Whether it's doing acrobatics or trapeze or just being in high places, he isn't bothered, and has a high tolerance for thrilling things. More than scary, he finds it exciting.
⑤ He enjoys being around people, but he also really likes quiet time alone relaxing, and there are times that he'd rather curl up and watch a movie with a friend rather than going out to get food or anything more active. He loves sleeping, and he tends to prioritize sleep over fun, too.
