Livehouse Johnny's Ginza 2013!
Whew, I'm exhausted... but as the last of our long line of concerts in May, yomimashou and I went to see "Johnny's Livehouse Ginza" yesterday at 1pm, the last show for the Marius and Sou + Sexy Boyz + Bakaleya 4 cast. It was a lot of fun, so I tried to write up a little report! This definitely is not comprehensive or complete but it does include all the funny and amusing parts that I can remember. ^^
The show was (obviously) in the tiny Theatre Crea in Ginza, a tiny 600-seat theatre with a very intimate feel. There were 22 rows, and, of course... we were in row 22. But it was still a great view of the stage, even if it was a bit odd to be having a live in a theatre... everyone was confused as to when to stand up and when to sit down XD; There were also three boxes on the top left hand side, each eating two people, and one on the right, which remained empty... for the time being. These were like their own mini-balconies, so unfortunately for those people, they didn't get to touch the performers or anything like that.
The venue only opened a half hour before the show, so we didn't wait long before the lights went down and the show started! They opened with Yuuki 100%, first with just Marius, Sou, and Sexy Boyz, but then the Bakaleya guys came out and they all did Can Do Can Go together. They also did Suki Sugite, which was adorable, because none of the Bakaleya guys knew the choreography at all. They kept watching Sexy Boyz, and Shintaro, in particular, was all over the place, and the others teased him about it later~
After a few songs, it came time for a talk section (which felt really early for a concert, but since it was supposed to be a live, I guess that's not that weird? XD) Topics of discussion included the fact that Marius had supposedly grown 2 centimeters in a month (he claims to be 172 now) and that his feet are now 29cm, making it impossible for him to find shoes. He claimed the pair he was wearing were the only ones he could find in all their costumes that would fit him. When asked about this, he tried to explain that "his feet were fast," but in Japanese, that means he's a fast runner, and everyone was confused as to why he suddenly changed the subject... it seemed as if Marius hadn't had as much time to prepare answers in Japanese beforehand, so his Japanese was downright awful in this show D: I had trouble following some of what he was trying to say, as did the others in the show D: Sou seemed sad that he was still so short, but Yugo encouraged him, telling him that he had grown 10 cm in high school! Yugo used to be so small ♥ Shintaro was sad that he's the same age as Sou but is huge, and Juri made him show off his muscles... though Shintaro didn't seem too thrilled with this XD; It seemed as if he's sad that he's no longer a cute little kid... Also, unrelatedly, Taiga and Juri were quite handsy with one another through this whole performance~
After the talk, MariSou and Sexy Boyz performed "Don't Stop Sexy Boyz," then Marius and Sou left and Kishi and Miyachika Kaito performed solos. I don't even know what's up with Sexy Boyz these days, but Kishi and Miyachika Kaito were definitely the top for this show; they had special costumes and everything. It was highly perplexing to me, but... whatever, I guess, who ever has any idea what's going on with Johnny's and Junior groups. After that, the Bakaleya guys sans Taiga came back and performed Fire Beat! It was a little sad that Takizawa Enbujou rehearsals got in the way of Taiga's Crea rehearsals, but... he came in after that and sang with them before another talk section.
At the beginning of this talk section, Sou pointed out that he (松島聡 / Matsushima Sou) and Juri's character in Bakaleya (野口聡 / Nogushi Satoshi) have the same name. Juri got really confused, first saying "Satoshi...?" as if he was concerned that Sou had confused his character's name, then continuing, "Matsushima Sou...?" while pointing at Sou, as if he had somehow confused Sou's name. XD; Sou finally pointed out that it was the kanji. Marius announced that he would be voicing the bunny character for the Hello Kitty theme park again, and Shinaro got really confused, asking "What? What's he talking about?" before Juri yelled at him for not reading the atmosphere and explained to him off to the side what Marius was talking about |D; Juri also spotted an uchiwa of baby Marius in the audience, and they took it from the girl and brought it onstage, showing off a photo of Marius as a small child. They all cooed over how cute he was, but Juri thought it looked like Miyachika Kaito... which it really didn't |D; He started asking if Miyachika was half XD;; But then, Juri also pointed out that he had seen a lot of "ba" (葉) uchiwa in the audience and it had taken him a long time to realize that it was "Yo," Marius's last name. Marius pointed out that his last name was Chinese, and apparently none of the Bakaleya guys had known this, because they all got really excited and asked him to speak Chinese. I was surprised that Marius's Chinese pronunciation was actually quite good! Apparently, Marius speaks a lot of languages mediocrely |D;; Poor baby.
Next up was Yugo's (very short :<) solo leading up to the portion of the show that he MC'd, "Kouchi's Room"! Apparently, this had been "Yuko's room" in other performances, and I was sad that he wasn't crossdressing for our show |D;;; But his first guests with Sou and Marius, and Yugo told them that he had a surprise gift for them... which turned out to be Fuma! Fuma came and sat with them and generally harassed and trolled them for a while (he apparently had explicitly told them that he was busy on the day of their show, but apparently, he was only busy in the evening, and had been tricking them XD). Somehow, they got on the topic of how to say onigiri types sexily, and they asked girls in the audience to pick a type of onigiri and a member to say it. |D I forget what type Fuma was supposed to say (possibly konbu?), but he said it in a ridiculous high-pitched voice, Marius said "salmon mayonnaise" in English, Sou sang "karaage" and then Fuma joined in, because we all know how much Fuma likes trolling and singing randomly, and then Yugo was supposed to say shaketoro, and he whispered it, to which Fuma shouted "That's so dirty! It makes me think of a place in Tsutaya (a book/movie/CD store) that's not for children..." or something like that |D;;;; Fuma is such a troll, I can't even... He also mentioned that in next month's magazines, Sexy Zone would be crossdressing, and that Marius was really cute and Sou looked like Akimoto Sayaka from AKB... and teased Marius for loving crossdressing and looking in the mirror and saying "aren't I so cute~?" XD;; Fuma did an impersonation of Marius crossdressing that was pretty cute/hilarious/spot-on. XD;
Next, Yugo announced Marius and Sou's solo corner (after a brief rendition of Rouge by Sou... where he messed up the lyrics |D), and first Sou performed Wonderland Train with Matsuda Genta... and someone else. I could only watch Genta, because the whole time he was really cutely into it, bubbling with energy in all of his dances... it was pretty adorable and I must admit he's grown on me. However, near the end... snipers appeared and shot Sou?! Then "Hazama Seishirou," Marius's character from Kodomo Keisatsu/Kodomo Keishi, appeared to investigate the murder. He performed Secret Agent Man with Reia and Amu as his backdancers, and then called all the Sexy Boyz out to try to "revive" Sou. He started reading from a packet of papers that he had, but couldn't read all the kanji... poor bb. First, Takahashi Fu was supposed to do a monomane of someone I didn't know, but Sou didn't revive XD; Then Amu was supposed to do a monomane of Shimura Ken, which as pretty hilarious, but Sou didn't revive then, either. Finally, Marius was supposed to whisper in a sexy voice to Sou (and they all harassed him asking "Who's Marius," since he was supposed to be Hazama-keiji, but he claimed Marius was his nickname |D) and so he went up to Sou and said "Sexy Rose," which made Sou come back to life. XD; At the end, there was triumphant music as Sou ran up and hugged Marius... but then Fuma came onstage and started harassing them saying that the whole thing wasn't believable and that Sou's acting of dying was bad. He was kidding, of course, but everyone was sort of like "uh..." before Fuma was like okay, continue, and walked offstage again |D;;;
The next segment was more Kouchi's Room, this time with the other three Bakaleya guys. As soon as they came onstage, however, Taiga claimed that some part of his costume was wrong, and insisted Juri look for the problem. Juri got very involved in studying Taiga's hip, and soon Shintaro was intrigued too, and Taiga got annoyed, snapping at Yugo, "Well, talk already!" Yugo was sort of at a loss and tried to talk to Shintaro, but he was too absorbed in helping with Taiga's costume malfunction, and in the end, Juri found the problem and fixed it before they got on with the talk. Yugo asked Shintaro what he had been up to lately, and he responded that he'd bee in the commercial for Baskin Robbins 31, and asked if anyone in the audience had been to Baskin Robbins recently. A bunch of girls raised their hands, but then a male voice shouted "I have a part time job at Baskin Robbins!" Turns out that Fuma was occupying the empty box seat from earlier, and was trolling... again. They all yelled at Fuma to shut up, and then continued they continued to ask Taiga about Enbujou. He said that working with his dad wasn't weird at all, and Juri added that working with his brother wasn't weird at all either. Shintaro didn't get to add in his two cents worth... >___>;;; They then awkwardly felt like they didn't have anything to say, and asked Fuma if he had anything interesting to say. Fuma magically had gotten a mic between his earlier comment and now, and responded that with one hiragana syllable, he could make all 600 people in the audience laugh. He then said, "bo!" which... got a few giggles, I guess? Yugo responded, "that was more like 150 people!" XD;; Then, they introduced the Bakaleya guys' solos, which was enjoyable as usual. Taiga has a great voice ♥
Next, Yugo came back to announce the Sexy Boyz corner, and Sexy Boyz did an Arashi medley. Kishi and Miyachika performed Troublemaker, then Amu, Fu, and Kaoru did Kitto Daijoubu. Amu said he wanted to work on his rapping, and did the rap from Kitto Daijoubu, and he actually did pretty well! Lastly, Reia came on and performed Sakura Sake while skateboarding! He was so cute ♥
And then it was time for the last spurt! In various groupings, members ran out into the audience, but unfortunately, I was far from an aisle and no one saw me :( I always hope Marius will see me, since we have a similar racial breakdown, but no such luck... and Okamoto Kauan wasn't there to notice me this time like he did at the Sexy Zone Japan Tour |D;;; I always feel like the guys are so BIG when I see them up close in person... Marius really is huge o___O;
Apparently, it was protocol to only call for one encore; we called for one and then no one even tried for a second. But during the one encore Fuma came back on and said he had been thinking of not coming but was really glad he came, and was happy to see Marius and Sou and his best friend Yugo. I was so happy to see Yugo and Fuma get to perform together; I didn't think it would be possible (especially since I missed the B.I.Shadow reunion at the Sexy Zone New Year's con T____T) so I was really happy. It was really nice to be able to see everyone so close, too, and I'm already looking forward to next year!
