"Shit," Jonghyun curses under his breath, as the raindrops start falling from the sky. He's still far from reaching his apartment that he shares with his bandmates, so he runs to nearest store he sees for some shelter. He enters the small shop he finds on the corner of the street, and immediately, he has to cough away the dust that's filling the air, and close his eyes to prevent any of it from getting into them. When he finally reopens them, that's when he notices her.

She's the absolute definition of perfection - with her gorgeous, curvy body and her beautiful voice. It feels like he's been looking for her for forever now, and now that he's finally found her, Jonghyun thinks he's found love, and he can't help but want to reach out and touch her. That's when he notices the store owner glaring at him from behind the counter. So, he clears his throat and walks over to speak to the man who's been eyeing him suspiciously for the past 5 minutes. "How much for the beauty over there?"

It's around 8 at night when Jonghyun finally returns to his apartment, his newfound love in his arms. The first thing he sees upon opening the front door is a ball of Minhyuk, jumping out from wherever he was before, ready to attack him with endless questions. "Where have you been this whole day?" Minhyuk fires. "We've all been really worried about you." When he sees the frown on Minhyuk's face, Jonghyun almost regrets leaving earlier that day without telling the rest of his group where he was going. But if he had told them, they would've wanted to tag along, and then, he would have never had the chance to meet her.

"I'm sorry, Minhyuk-ah," Jonghyun apologizes. It's sincere enough, so Minhyuk drops the frown, and directs his attention to what's in Jonghyun's arms. "What is that?" Minhyuk eyes the black case that Jonghyun is hugging to his chest. Jonghyun looks down at the case fondly, before unclasping the buckle on the side and opening it up to reveal a beautiful acoustic guitar. "Minhyuk, meet Veronica."

"So, Jonghyun, I hear you got a new guitar," Yonghwa mentions, looking up from his rice.

"Yeah, hyung, but she's not just any guitar. She's the best guitar in the world. I mean, we've only met a couple of hours ago, but I can already feel a special connection between us." Jonghyun replies with stars in his eyes, and Yonghwa's a bit hesitant to tell his dongsaeng that Veronica is only a guitar - not a girl to be considering proposing marriage to, or anything. Minhyuk just stares with his mouth open, and Jungshin puts on a calculating look, before smiling widely and - "Hyung, you'll let me name your children, right?"

Jonghyun chuckles and almost blushes at Jungshin's proposal (but secretly, he's already thinking of his future babies). "Not now, for sure. We're not at that level yet," Jonghyun states with a wink, "but maybe someday." Minhyuk's jaw drops even lower, and Yonghwa can't help but sigh. Jungshin, however, is excited.

"Veronica baby, I know we've only known each other for a short time, but I have a feeling things are going to work out between us. Do you trust me?" Jonghyun stares lovingly at his guitar that is now resting on a stand set at the corner of his room by his bed, which he has cleared out just for this occasion.

"Hyung, please tell me you're not talking to your guitar," Minhyuk deadpans. He questions his hyung's sanity, which has already lost most of its credibility as a result of Minhyuk's walking in on Jonghyun's endless praising and worshipping of his Veronica.

"Well, of course, she has to be spoken to," Jonghyun replies with a surprised expression on his face. "Wouldn't you be bored if you just sat in the corner of a room all day long with no one to talk to?"

Minhyuk's about to retort and talk some sense into his crazy, love-driven hyung, when Jungshin storms in and covers Minhyuk's mouth with one hand, the other hand grabbing onto his wrist and dragging him out of the room. "Come now, Minhyuk. We musn't disturb the newlyweds."

Minhyuk doesn't have time to protest, and instead, throws glares like daggers at Jungshin on their way out. As he is being bodily removed from the room, he swears to himself to take on Jonghyun's case and cure his hyung for the better good of all things sane in the world.

It's a particularly long and tiring day for Jonghyun and the others when they finally reach their apartment at night. They began their morning with a meeting with the management to discuss their image and other issues, and then, a long photoshoot that required traveling from place to place, taking no less than 3 hours at the least, followed by a live performance on MusicBank - all packed into one exhausting day; Jonghyun finds it surprising he hasn't collapsed yet.

"Veronica baby, I'm home." Jonghyun peeks inside the room to find his guitar right where he left it earlier this morning. "Oh, it's been such a tiring day. I swear, our managers are trying to work us to death, or something. So, how was your day?" Jonghyun smiles at Veronica, pausing for her to answer, before nodding and continuing on with his one-sided conversation.

Directly outside of their room, Minhyuk stands by the door like the creeper that he isn't and listens to every bit of Jonghyun's words, searching for clues or evidence that Jonghyun is merely fooling around with them - anything that'll lead him closer to solving this case. He's at a desperate state, and almost considers giving up all hope on Jonghyun, but he reminds himself that for the sake of his hyung, and his own sanity, he must fight on.

Jungshin merely sits back in the living room and watches, amused at how serious Jonghyun's love for his guitar is, surprisingly, and how cute Minhyuk looks when he's trying hard to focus. Yonghwa is missing from the scene, but Jungshin is certain that if he were here right now, he'd be shaking his head.

Minhyuk bites back a "I knew this would happen" when he wakes up one morning and is met with a sullen looking Jonghyun curled up on the floor with his knees up and his arms around them, eyes staring straight ahead at the wall. His frown is half the size of his face, and if he weren't so serious at the moment, Minhyuk would burst out into laughter at how ridiculous his hyung looks. Instead, he opts to sit beside his hyung. Sighing, Minhyuk asks, "What's wrong, hyung?" - even though he's pretty certain he already knows the cause of his hyung's miserable appearance.

"We had a fight," Jonghyun replies pathetically, and he draws patterns on the floor with his finger.

"Of course you did," Minhyuk mutters under his breath.

"What was that, Hyukkie?" Jonghyun looks up.

"A-ah. Nothing, hyung," Minhyuk offers, forcing a small smile on his face.

"Well, anyways. She says I work too much - that I don't spend enough time with her," Jonghyun explains. "I try telling her that it's my job, and that, 'how am I supposed to support our future family if I don't make some money now?' I mean, raising a family will not be cheap." At this, Jonghyun furrows his eyebrows and shakes his head. "I wish she could see where I'm coming from. And- Minhyuk, are you even listening?" Jonghyun stares at his seemingly frozen dongsaeng.

Minhyuk sits there, speechless. Taking a deep breath, he finally finds his voice amidst his stupor. "Hyung, I think it's time to let her go."

It's two weeks after Minhyuk had pleaded with Jonghyun to give up on "Veronica" and return to the real world, and two weeks after Jonghyun gasped at such a suggestion, gave Minhyuk an adamant "never", and refused to speak to Minhyuk until he is able to accept their love when Jonghyun gathers all the members in the living room of their apartment, declaring that he has an announcement to make.

"So, hyung. What exactly did you call us out here for?" Jungshin asks, curious and thoroughly amused. Yonghwa sits beside him, expectant yet simultaneously wary, while Minhyuk sits there silently, waiting for Jonghyun to continue.

"Be patient, my dongsaeng," Jonghyun replies, beaming. "Love, like all great things, can't be rushed."

Minhyuk groans, "Not this again." To which, Jonghyun pointedly ignores and focuses his attention on the other two of their group.

"Well guys-" Jonghyun begins, corners of his smile reaching his ears, "-we're getting married."

Yonghwa blinks while Minhyuk's jaws drop to the ground for the third time since Veronica has been with them. Jungshin, of course, is thrilled. "I can be the godfather, right?"

Jonghyun nods approvingly, and Jungshin punches the air with a "Yes!"

When Minhyuk finally discovers enough sense in him again to protest, he blurts out a "B-b-but. You can't get married! You're too young, and we're still an idol group. We don't have time for this type of thing, not to mention, your bride is a freaking GUITAR for God's sake, and-" Jungshin clamps a hand over Minhyuk's mouth.

"Hyung, breathe," Jungshin advises, removing his hand from the other's mouth. Minhyuk gulps in a large breath of air, and breathes out. When he finally calms down, he turns his attention to Yonghwa. "What, you don't have anything to say about this?"

Yonghwa stares straight ahead, bringing a finger up to his lips as a sign of "shush". Then, Yonghwa says in a soft voice, "I'm hoping if I stare hard enough, we'll go back in time, and all will be well."

Minhyuk facepalms.

"I can't believe we set up a wedding and all for Jonghyun and his guitar," Minhyuk voices sulkily. Jungshin, standing beside him, only shrugs and watches Jonghyun move about the room, making sure everything is turning out perfect.

"Wonderful, the preparations are almost complete," Jonghyun announces happily. As he walks around to make sure the workers are setting the things up properly, he suddenly wonders where he left his soon-to-be-wife. "Where did she go?" Jonghyun frowns. He scans the room for his bride, and brightens when he spots her sitting on a stand near a corner of the room.

"Ah, there you are," Jonghyun says to himself as he begins to make his way toward Veronica. Just then, two workers carrying a table come into view, and one of them happens to back up into the stand where Veronica is sitting. Jonghyun watches in slow motion as the love of his life is flung to the ground and is snapped at the neck. "Nooooooooooo."

Jonghyun rushes towards the broken guitar, hugging it close to his body. "This can't be," he cries. Minhyuk, who now stands beside him, puts a hand on his shoulder almost pityingly and tells him to let it go.

Jungshin, also by his side, shakes his head. "I was going to be a godfather, too."

It's several days later when Minhyuk opens the door to an unusually happy Jonghyun that he starts to be suspicious.

"Hyung, why are you standing in the doorway smiling like a creep?" Minhyuk asks with one brow arched.

"Well, I just realized that things weren't going to work out between Veronica and me anyways, and that I'm not feeling so upset anymore," Jonghyun says with a genuine smile. "I guess you could say I've moved on."

Minhyuk smiles back, and tells Jonghyun that he's glad. It's an awkward minute of silence with Jonghyun not moving from his spot and Minhyuk with one hand on the door knob, when Minhyuk asks, "So, hyung. What are you waiting for? Why don't you come in?"

"H-huh? Oh, well you see. It might be kind of soon, but-" Jonghyun looks to the side and makes a gesture with his hand, "-I've met someone new."

In a matter of minutes, a baby grand piano is brought into the living room and Minhyuk, Jungshin, and Yonghwa are left staring at the instrument occupying their space, while Jonghyun beams at them.

"Guys, meet Melinda."
