Boston

Went to Boston on Sat. Went with Cass, Delaney, and "sunny". It was great! First off, Cass's friends are insane, so I felt right at home. Also, the guys were so goofy (not to mention having an inexplicable climbing fetish) I actually WASN'T they most boistrous one in the group! That felt sooooo much better! I hate being the loudmouthed, annoying, embarassing one. This time I wasn't, and got to be an amused spectator. We didn't actually do much of anything, but sometimes that's better than having some neurotically scheduled plan and stressing about maintaining it.
Usually when I'm ACTUALLY enjoying myself, when things APPEAR to be going well, something inexplicably horrible happens to overshadow all of the small good points of the day. The more fun I have, the worse the thing to happen. It's just the universe's way of reminding me that the world sucks, so I shouldn't try to smile through it.
Although I worried about what the bad thing was going to be, nothing happened! This is the first time in a loooooong time that I've truly had a good day without evil repercussions. I had fun, the end! Rare indeed, which makes it more special I suppose...
Thank you Cass! That was so lovely and also such a rare experience for me. Quite liberating if I may say... I would definitely like to do it again sometime!
