out in the hospital
I didnt work today, and am not working tomorrow.
My mothers surgery was today, at about 11 am. I got to the hospital and waited with my sister at about 1ish. They finished up at like 4 and put her in the ICU to recover.
Its a bit tough to see her right after surgery. They took out the tumor that's near her ear, she could barely talk, couldn't see anything, and was dizzy with a big headache (obviously....she did just have brain surgery). Still it was good to hear her whisper a little joke about her doctor.
Fairfax Hospital has gotten like 10 times bigger than the last time I was there. Surprisingly it wasn't very confusing to find my way around.
She has at least one more surgery to take care of the other tumor, which will happen as soon as she's recovered from todays surgery. So we'll see how that goes.
