So, we found our house! We loved it when we first walked through it yesterday, and our realtor admitted she was having a hard time picking it apart...no red flags. So we quickly decided to make an offer, because the seller had scheduled an open house for today and we were hoping to make that open house not happen! And this morning, our offer was officially accepted. Mike and I spent half the day bickering out of nervous excitement and half the day dreamily walking through home depot and furniture stores. Now the clock is ticking....inspections and moving and closing, oh my! Our contract states that we will close on or before October 31st. I like that we have Halloween in our contract.
The house is awesome. Three bedrooms, 1.5 baths (though I don't really count the .5th bath because it's in the basement and there's not even a sink...just a toilet next to the sump pump). New kitchen, new bathroom, new carpet upstairs, ceiling fans, half-finished basement, a big bay window in the living room for Havoc to sit in...a yard! It's about half a mile from Belvedere Square, on a quiet street facing Chinquapin Park. The only thing we know we will have to fix is the back fence...which is falling over...but it's chain link and doesn't look too complicated. And we will have trees! On our property! I've never had my own tree before. Yay.
I just wish Taryn were here to tell all about it. But she's off in London with one of my other sisters. Poo on her.
