omen?
So the ministers who will be presiding over our wedding had dinner at our house this evening. I baked the BEST mac'n'cheese ever. But with a pound of gouda, a quart of whole milk, and a stick of butter, what wouldn't taste good!? Anyway, our dinner was great...we had a nice time talking with them, and we got some planning done for the ceremony. After we finished eating, we were sitting at the table talking, and Havoc was sitting next to me chewing on a Nylabone. My hand was near his mouth. Then it struck! Havoc's teeth accidentally bit down on my thumb! I looked down and there was gushing blood. I excused myself and went to the bathroom...gushing all the way. Havoc accidentally bit my thumbnail in HALF. I became nauseated and sweating, like you do when you go into shock. I went downstairs and Mike put a band-aid on my thumb. I waited for the nausea to pass, and I rejoined everyone upstairs. It was time for them to go anyway, but to punctuate it with blood? How embarrassing! Plus, now i have no left thumbnail. Well, half of one...but you know it won't be there for long.
