Have you seen neo-Halloween? I must admit, I rather enjoyed it...

I respected what Rob Zombie was trying to do, but I sort of hated it. Michael's back story was too filled with cliches and the girls all annoyed THE HELL out of me (the biggest problem).

Yeah...I think I enjoyed it specifically for the cliches -- I thought it was kind of funny. I loved the way the soundtrack worked. Also, I loved that there was no functioning nuclear family by the end, and that last shot of her screaming was oh so very Texas Chainsaw...

Yar, it also reminded me of the last shots of TENEBRE and Cronenberg's THE FLY--but not as powerful. But then is anything nearly as powerful as the last shot of Cronenberg's THE FLY? Not much!
