So in preparation for my photo final exam, I stumbled upon this idea where I could use my enthusiasm for Shibari, (decorative Japanese rope bondage), to make social commentary on the relationship between humanity and our social disorders. I ended up taking about nine different photographs over the course of five or six rolls of film in search of this imagery. I was elated to find that there were so many cooperative people and elements out there, just waiting for me to use. The collected work, (a couple of images are behind the cut below), was recieved so well that I was encouraged to consider using this "essay" for gallery submission.
So I am going to re-shoot my original nine, as well as several other ideas, with 120 and make 16x20s out of them. This is going to be my big summer project.
Consequently, I'd like to poll anyone with enough time to answer with a few questions about your "personalities"...
1. What are your most rational and irrational fears?
2. What are you most ashamed of in your life?
3. For what do you envy of other people the most?
4. What are you the most intolerant of?
5. What are you the most needy or selfish for?
6. What is your favorite sin to have committed upon you?
I may borrow inspiration from some of your answers to create...
The Housewife. The Young Woman.
