Temptation

I have at last given in to the temptation and created a Facebook account for those of you who don't already know. Remember to search for me as Bridget Girton, not Bridget Baeder. In chapel the other day, Dr. Burks showed his Facebook account, but apparently it was fake. I was sad, I really wanted to be friends with Dr. Burks. How cool would that be?
I have not yet given in to another of my big temptations: Seeing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Now, I guess even if I had tried I couldn't have given into this temptation yet since it doesn't open for a few more hours, but I have not decided to go yet. I have basically seen most of the movie in trailers and screen shots anyway, but I don't like the way Mad-Eye Moody and Madame Maxime are portrayed, so I would rather not have to see them in my head everytime I read the books. Mary GrandPre has a lot to do with my images of the books, but I like her portrayals better than Warner Brothers'. Alan Rickman is not Severus Snape, contrary to popular belief!
This Thanksgiving will be my first away from my family or Jameson's. We are collaborating with Sylvie and Erastos for dinner and movies. Should be fun, assuming I don't mess up everything too badly. That may be an unrealistic assumption, who knows? I kind of wish we were going somewhere, but I do have to write 2 papers over the break, so I guess it's a good thing that I'm staying here.
For you WCS people, did you know that our beloved school is getting sued? Apparently Isaac Gold, a former Jewish student, is accusing Roger Ramirez, Sean Parker, and others of poisoning him by putting drugs in his food. He says that Dr. Lacey put them up to it. Sad to say, I believe that Roger and Sean would do something like that, but Dr. Lacey never would. It's ridiculous, and there's no way he can prove that. Also, I seem to remember him writing an article for the school paper about how he was a Jewish Christian and hoped that one day the Jewish people would wake up and realize that Jesus really was the Messiah, so I don't know how he can be claiming religious discrimination if he really was a Christian.
Ndudi Ebi, another WCS alumnus, is no longer in the NBA and is in college. Sadly, I doubt he is getting that full ride he was offered a few short years ago.
Finally, there is some controversy surrounding Justin, my brother. Apparently there is a blog called EmergentNo that is against the emergent church and Justin bought emergentno.com and is aggregating their posts and allowing comments on them. The consensus seems to be that this is perfectly legal, but possibly unwise. At any rate, it's created a lot of controversy. If you are wondering what an emergent church is, don't ask me cos I'm wondering the same thing.
