Darling wait for me as I wait for you...

The boy and I donated some money to red cross this morning, after everything that's been happening in the States. It saddens us both to see how destructive our weather can be, and how it can completely rip a nation apart.
The rise of fuel is a ridiculous thing. A friend of mine was telling me where she is in Georgia they are hitting people for almost $6 a galleon. That is what you call taking advantage of a bad situation, and completely disgusts me.
And the effects are being felt worldwide with gas prices.
The strange thing is the US is the richest country in the world, yet Bush can't seem to pull his finger out and get help to people quicker.
It's shocking. How are people supposed to believe in a President if in a time of crisis like this, he doesn't react quicker.

But we figured it was the least that we can do. The boy can certainly afford it, and if helps our just a little bit then it helps out. I just felt my heart breaking seeing children, who hadn't eaten in two days, and the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. It really was heart wrenching.

The boy left early this morning. He had to go up to Melbourne and work. So I slept a little longer, and then got up and started going through my wardrobe. I realised there are clothes in my wardrobe I don't wear anymore, and don't fit me anymore. It was almost deja vu going through my wardrobe, as I did the same thing last year. So more clothes to go to the Salvation Army.
I tried on last summer's miniskirts, and they're way too big for me. I definitely need to find a size 6 (which is size 2 U.S) that I feel comfortable wearing. In other words one that covers my ass. The problem is I have long legs, and apparently girls who wear size 6 miniskirts are either really short or want to wear skirts around their waist. It bites.

I ended up staying up beyond late last night since Rebel without a cause was on. It was the fiftiefth anniversary of James Dean or something like that on ABC. I love ABC...*sigh*
I also got to watch the Glass House. The Glass House rocks. I've missed watching it, so it's great to be able to see it again.

Technically I should be in Melbourne for the game, but have a million things I want to do today, and that doesn't factor into it. It doesn't matter. I need to update the site too today, and have a few reviews that need to be uploaded to the site too.
*sigh* My work is never done.
I've written a list of what needs to be done this weekend, and so far only one has been marked off. The research on depression.
I'll do most of them tonight, but today will start on the site. I need to start hunting down prospective interviews too.
Too much work too little time.

On the bright side I've done 200 stomach crunches already, and today don't feel like blowing them off. Yesterday I seriously wanted them over and done with. Ack!

Enough said. It's time to get back to work.
A girl's work is never done.
