"How did you get that?" Abby yelped, running to get an ice pack for the bruise over Connor's eye.
The expression on his face was sheepish. "I... I tried to pick up a girl tonight."
"She had a big, burly boyfriend with her, did she?" she teased, wincing at the flinch he gave when she touched the pack to his face.
Connor shook his head, but grimaced. "No. She punched me."
"What?"
"I just did what you said! I complimented her."
Abby rolled her eyes. "I said not her chest!"
Connor sighed somewhat pitifully. "I didn't! ...it was her bum."
