Which is just funny to me because that was the very first thing I thought was, "ew, Helen and Stephen". Which I swore I'd never write. ...oops.

Great drabble! The Nick/Stephen/Helen dynamics fascinate me -- and I think Helen would have manipulated Stephen just like this.

He definitely had to be vulnerable to actually be involved in it at all. But that's exactly how I see it: Helen using him to get to Nick and Stephen being a pawn in the middle. Poor guy. :(
