my weekend, by Robyn

Saturday, gaming. we added two people to the group. David has played with these two people in the Earthdawn campaign he is playing in, so he had an idea what they would bring to our group. he says they did not disappoint. we defeated the pirates. my character, as far as I know, destroyed the leftover Camino cloning equipment located on the decrepit Old Republic Star Destroyer that the pirates had gotten from somewhere. my plan at this point is to hand over the ship to the fledgling Rebels. I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting a hold of a capital ship, no matter its condition.

Saturday night, David and I tried to shop for flowers, but it was too cold and windy. we ended up at home, snuggled on the couch watching a movie together. that was.... just awesome.

Sunday, I took Randy for a walk, and introduced him to the north side of Bever Ave. usually we walk down to Forest Drive and then turn south. this time, I turned north, and he wasn't sure that was such a good idea. he ended up enjoying it, though. I mean, really, it's a walk; what's not to enjoy?!

David and I then left the house at the same time later that morning. I went to a garden shop while he went biking. I got home probably two hours later, and putzed around the house. no David. putz, putz. no David. puzt, putz. no David. finally checked the messages [again] and found there was a new one left about 2:20, though I hadn't heard the phone ring. had to go pick him up from the NE side of town, because his legs wouldn't go anymore. he biked 31 miles.

David's prolonged bike ride and that I had to go rescue him meant we missed the 3:30 showing of The Princess Bride. instead, we had some food, I mowed the lawn, David took a nap. we made it to the 7:00 showing instead, and it was awesome, even though I've seen that movie many times. seeing it on the big screen was really cool!

after that, we went to the Co-Op for peanut butter. came away with quite a bit more than just peanut butter. stopped at Pita Pit for quick dinner before driving home. yum!

drove home, got there about 10, called Mom to wish her a quick Happy Mother's Day. hung up quick so I could call Pita Pit and confirm that, yes, my purse was still hanging over the back of a chair in the restaurant. no, not driving back to IC to get it, especially since I would be in IC in 11 hours. went to bed.

oh yeah. and had a water incident with the outside spigot. that was fun.

house, weekending
