Robyn: hi, honey. I was wondering if I could borrow your UI sweatshirt tomorrow.
David: um... why?
Robyn: because I got an email at work today saying I could wear jeans tomorrow if it accompanies Hawkeye apparel to show support for the team at the Orange Bowl.
David: this is what it comes down to then.
Robyn: I had to decide whether or not I could actually wear a Hawkeye shirt just for the sake of wearing jeans to work tomorrow. so I thought about it. *pause a beat* yeah.
David: this is one step away from nationalism, you know!
Robyn: only one?
David: you have no self-respect at all, do you?
Robyn: apparently not! so... can I borrow your sweatshirt?
