so much to do, so little time
I took the day off yesterday, so I could meet with Linda the Volunteer Coordinator with Amenity Hospice to talk about the newsletter I will be taking over, and also so I could call my mom to discuss funeral arrangement stuff. I figured it'd be easiest if I just took a day of vacation, and then I could do some other stuff, too.
well... I did get those two things done, the things I took the day off to do, which is good.
but... I didn't get as much of anything else done. rats.
like, I was planning to finish potting up and planting the flowers currently sitting in nursery pots on the patio. they're still sitting on the patio.
and I was planning to mow the lawn. the rain storm that set in late in the day killed that.
and I was planning/hoping to buy a lawn game, but couldn't find it in stock.
I was planning to buy plasticware and paper plates and cups and napkins.
... uh-uh.
still, I did get some curtains washed. I thought washing curtains would be a monumental project spanning several weekends. nope! I got all three sets from the living room in one load of laundry. David already washed the upstairs ones, so the only ones remaining are the TV room and the back bedroom. should be done by this weekend. yay! they're still really dusty from our sanding project.
we looked at photographs and bought some frames. more - much more - on that later.
I fixed the basement stairwell railing! I noticed, while doing laundry, that it was very loose, so I got the screwdriver out to tighten the screws right away before I forgot. that was when I realized that no matter how much I turned them, the screws would not tighten. so I had to pound in some of those plastic things that go into holes to tighten screws with. I don't know what they're called.
oh, and one more thing: I managed to tear the curtain rod in the bedroom off the wall. whoops.
