that's what it's about

David and I had a date last night. except, it was all out of order.

first off, I got home earlier than usual (that is, at 5:50 instead of 6:05). and it was a gorgeous day. we started out the day with a storm as I drove to the van, complete with hail. but then it turned into a beautiful afternoon, and I had to decide how to spend it.

my choice was aided by talking to David right after I got home. he was getting off work early and would be home soon! I was so excited. after he arrived home, we discussed what to do. we opted for a bike ride instead of going to the dog park (poor Andy!), so went upstairs to change into something suitable for bike riding. and found ourselves in bed. so the date started out backwards. I told David I'm just easy; he doesn't even have to wine and dine me before he gets me into bed.

after that, we rode our bikes over to Colette's to finally, finally give her something that we've been meaning to give her for about two months. her house was on the way to our real destination, and we got to see Athena and Reb for a bit. Athena was very excited to see us. she even gave me a kiss. it's funny that she's only about four, I think, and Andy is nine, and she looks older/grayer than he does. but anyway...

after stopping at Colette's we continued on our journey to Cork 'n' Fork for dinner. after dinner, I went to the Dairy Queen right next door and got myself a hot fudge malt; David already had dessert at the restaurant (carrot cake). then we biked on home.

keeping it alive
