I don't have that syndrome ! I have my own. It's called OPAMASWICTKF !!

Meaning : Old people are mean and selfish when it comes to kids freedom ! They always get what they want but kids dont !!

Well, it depends because at times, it's more of a gender based than age based situation.

In some cases, I noticed that males tend to have somewhat lesser restrictions than females and that females are more 'controlled' by the male family members and possibly assisted by the one playing the role of mothers.

I guess it takes a lot of convincing on your part to give you the kind of freedom you can use but not abuse.
