The year is 143 After Betrayal. For a generation the people of Shorelanei have lived on a knifes edge of terror and change. From the ashes of the old era many have risen richer for its passing, while others have lost not only their livelihoods, but their lives.
Change is ever present, in our lives, and in theirs. But at times, force brings about flaws in the warp and weft of the natural order of change. So it has been for Shorelanei, though surely what happened in their grandfathers time was not completely unexpected.
And things are changing again. Those abused by the new reign are no longer willing to bow their heads to the yoke of shame and disparagement, nor are those in hiding willing to mask their faces any longer. Those who supported the violent take over may soon find themselves in need of protection.
IT IS UP TO YOU, AND NOT A PROPHESIED HERO, TO SAVE OUR WORLD FROM A BITTER END, OR DESTROY A NEW BEGINNING.
