moots are coming up, and so i decided to go trim my hair. looks neater and all. i take a seat in the salon near my house, and tell her to trim it a couple of inches, to around the mid-shoulder blade area.
the result: not mid-shoulder blade area. not a couple of inches. think shoulder-length, horribly uneven. and to top it off, because of the way she had cut it, it kicks out, so that a pencil outline of my head would basically look like this:
so i went to a different salon (thanks to
little_hobbit for the recommendation) to salvage my hair, and the only way to do so was to cut it even shorter. it's a decent cut, a chin-length bob, but i have yet to come to terms with the fact that in the space of a few hours, i have lost 12 inches of hair.
