[stands, clutching a book] U-um... I don't mean to bother you!

Oh, it's not a bother! Hi, I'm Meg--

( she tries to extend a hand in greeting, and ends up toppling her pile of books over onto the floor. )

[facefear]

[she gazes at the hand as though curious, and is about to take it when the books fall, and she yelps as though it's her fault.] O-oh! I'm s-sorry...

( M'gann, meanwhile, is scrambling to pick them all up. After a moment she gets up again, having left the stack on the floor. )

Oh, no, don't be sorry! I mean, I had a feeling I might be going a little overboard, but it was exciting seeing so many...

[facefear]

[she looks faintly encouraged.] I-it's a n-nice library, isn't it?

[biophases]

It is, isn't it? I've never seen one this big before, it's pretty remarkable.

[facefear]

Uh huh, i-it's almost nice being here.

[biophases]

...if you can get over how we got here, then yes, it almost is.

[facefear]

A-ah! I just meant... the library. Th-the rest of the town... [gives her head a quick little shake.]

Have you been to the diner, yet? I would say the ice cream's almost as good as all the books!

[facefear]

N-no... [she seems faintly curious.]

Well, you should! It's really good--especially with French fries! Originally I thought that was a bit odd, since you never see the two mixed on TV, but I tried it and it was simply delicious!

[facefear]
