[Guy keeps failing his tests. Mostly because he can't read all that well and he passes all the time limits. He comes to the library to practice but...he still struggles.]

Y-Yes, My Lady?

I-I had a... q-question... [she's looking at him timidly with her one exposed eye, somewhat wary, as if trying to discern whether or not he's like the woman she ran into in the kitchen.]

For you, I shall have only the proper answer.

I-it's a fine d-day here in... [she's lifted a book up to her face and is using it to partially conceal herself, like it's a shield. it looks somewhat silly.] ...in- [she flicks her eyes up to the library sign.] Mayfield... isn't it?

U-um, anyway, I... w-wanted to know, um... [is there any way to ask where she is without sounding completely foolish? Hanako's starting to realize that there isn't.]

...I guess it is but please go on.

[He peers at her, making sure that she's not....actually crying or anything.]

If you are worried about me laughing or not taking you seriously, please toss that thought from your mind. As a knight, it would be dishonorable for me to treat a Lady as such.

[a knight? her expression softens somewhat and she lowers the book a little. he seems a bit theatrical, but she's seen her share of strange people at school.] I don't... r-really know where I... am. [the sentence finishes lamely.]

That is certainly a problem. This place is called Mayfield but I am a little lost in terms of location because it is not anywhere in my world of origin.

World of origin? [she looks even more confused now.]

I am from the plains of Sacae, which is nothing like this place. To be honest, towns make me a little uneasy with their closeness.

[she decides that that must be in another country, because a different world is too hard to believe.] So you're n-not from here... U-um... S-so you're like me...

Ah, yes, in a way. But I am just a common plainsman so please do not assume we are equal-

[l-looks confused.] C-common or not... [a squeak, hiding behind the book again.]
