"Two roads to walk down..."
How awkward is it to stand in a room with a past even staring straight at you for for hours? Well a tad bit uncomfortable. How odd it is to hear a laugh that you haven't heard in over a year. All I got was happy memories. I was still too afraid to go over and say hello. I didn't say that the end wasn't bad. It was. But even though I wasn't even looking at him, I heard him laugh and I knew it was him. It is amazing that something that small can recall so much. A year ago we weren't equals. Now, I'm 21, and a BFA. So what makes the difference now? I guess I'll never know. He still creates beautiful work. Absolutely amazing, heart stopping work. It is so interesting to see a man that is so reserved and so dark on the outside, produce such light, colorful, and awe inspiring pieces. I guess that is what draws me in. What I miss. I didn't ache when I saw him. I just remembered. Maybe that is how it is suppossed to be. My heart did jump a bit when I saw him. That was an unexpected reaction. It felt oddly good that I could still have that reaction to someone.
There are things in this world that do not belong to us. They might never have, even if there was a chance, earlier in history. It may feel good to be in the presence of that object, but there is still a space between that cannot be crossed. Some may try to, but that only ruins it. Enjoy the view, but nothing further. It just shouldn't be done.
