The weekend was a pretty good one. Alex wasn't clingy at all, oddly after 9 days away. I have raised a very independent little boy! When Mum appeared he was straight off with her, so I caught up on the accounts from last weekend's wedding bar. We've done fairly well out of that.
I fetched a load of blocks and Mum and I put them under Alex's sand box to try and keep the bloody slugs out of it. I got a bit pink under the English sun, more so then in Greece!
Yesterday was spent all over the place, helping Daddy with the marquee, digging the ballast around the new gate, charming ice cream out of the weigh bridge grannies and running me ragged!
Today we've had the tree surgeons in, and we have a lot less apple tree, but hopefully one that be with us a lot longer. Alex was fascinated watching from his window. He then went to our window to watch the shredder doing it business, and the 3 grass cutting tractors in the street. 3 seems a bit excessive, but Alex wasn't complaining! I've got some apple wood logs and a bucket full of apple wood chippings for my smoker. They were very quick, very neat, did a great job cleaning up after themselves, and looked surprised when I checked the final amount and the quote still matched!
Alex wasn't happy about me removing his cot bed, I thought he'd be glad to see the back of it so I couldn't threaten him with going in it when he won't stay in his bed. Anyway, it is going on to pastures new, so I can think about getting a table for his wooden train set.
We then headed off to Treasure Chest and 2 people needing help actually turned up. Unfortunately with 3 peer supporters, 2 trainees and associated children I didn't get to listen in as I was baby sitting! Bugger.
