It was quite a good weekend, dinner went well on Friday night, I fed Lib too and gave Sarah an impromptu cooking lesson into how to cheat at puddings.
On Saturday I did a lot of accounts as Neil hadn't been in all week, so there was a week's worth of booking office takings to sort and put in the safe as well as all the donations. I then snuck off for a rest in Grandma's garden, with my book in the sunshine, before Mum arrived and we made dinner for 9. We finally cooked the partridge breast from war time weekend, and they were lovely. We also managed to rope in Sarah and Lib again, after Sarah had come down during the day and done some painting with Simon, and I think she enjoyed herself. If we can just get her to know David and Stephen a little better, there is no reason why she shouldn't join us most Saturdays, and it would get her our of her house a bit and keep her busy. We have now eaten the last cabbage from the garden, and the first of this year's rhubarb as a rhubarb and apple crumble, and very nice they were too. Then we had a bonfire, always a good bonding experience!
On Sunday, I spent some of the day sorting the temporary event notice for 60s weekend, the making the application form into a typeable document, text boxes in Word are such fun! Still its done now, so the next application will take minutes, not hours.
On Sunday afternoon Richard turned up and planted more cabbages, just when you thought it was safe to go back in the veg garden.
