My new TV turned up on Thursday, though the sound quality isn't great, and I think we need a new ariel. Why does buying one thing tend to lead to having to buy something else?
I had a nice night with Jools, just chatting about men, life, the universe and everything.
I got home just after 21:00. Having left a bit early to spent some time with him, and he got home at 10:30, why did I bother?
Friday we went to the supermarket to stock up, mainly on lunch stuff for Levisham as we are feeding the S&T crew at the moment, and David never gives me an idea of the numbers I'll be having to cater for. It does get kind of annoying. We spent the evening in the cottage, as everyone was arriving late so there didn't seem much point in just the 2 of us going up to the pub.
On Saturday I got a bit more of the ladies done, but I had to put so much filler on the wall I couldn't do anything until it dried. I ended up helping Chris and Simon lay the new goods dock, which involved dragging wooden sleepers around. I refused to do any lifting as my shoulder is still bothering me, which annoyed Simon. He is such a caring individual. We ended up doing that until late, as Stephen was cooking dinner, after I refused!
After dinner we watched the Dark Knight, and I have no idea how that film got a 12 rating. I remember when Batman films used to be fun, I certainly shan't bother to watch it again.
On Sunday I did a bit more in the ladies, then joined the others unloaded and sorting the wagons. It was a lovely day, with a clear sky and the sun on our backs, so it was nice to be outside. I cooked Shepard's pie for dinner, but I managed to cook for 10, rather then the 8 we had! It all got eaten, but Simon refused pudding, and some people only had 1/2 portions! This means we have yummy bread and butter pudding for desert tonight as well.
It was a nice weekend, but today at work was crazy. Roy is in Spain for a week, and Alan appears to be off sick, so I've been running round like a blue arsed fly. Its great fun.
