don't forget to exercise your right to vote on august 2 for the Cleveland Schools Levy, Issue 3. if you are planning to vote against the levy, please ignore this message and stay home that day.
also likely to appear on the ballot is a measure to reduce the size of city council....while i have mixed opinions about this in theory, in practice 2 things concern me: 1) consolidating wards means consolidating power, and in cleveland, i'm not sure that's what we need; and 2) consider the source: it's the business community that's been pushing this, so as anti-capitalist i'm wary and wondering why.
