I wish I was in a coffeehouse right now. It's 11 pm and I'm wearing a sundress and listening to Iggy. "I wanna be your dog" is a song that makes me think of Java Jabbers, the coffeehouse I used to frequent in my early teens, mostly, well, entirely because my Dad's friend Bob Rafkin used to always play there. It was folk music but during breaks they'd play weird stuff, at the time I had no idea what it was. It was a rocking place. I based the Cherry Coffeehouse that the characters frequent after it. There were college age waiters that were really cool, one of them even liked Elfquest. Of course I was like 13 then and they were probably 20, but that made me feel cooler. Not like we were flirting anyway. They were just friendly. I remember they even had a picture of mine of my characters drinking coffee on the wall.
