I guess I haven't updated in a long time. 19 weeks ago the seniors were graduating. Now they're already gone :( I miss John & Ryan like none other...as well as a couple others. Can you actually believe that we (the class of 2008) are seniors?! It feels like just yesterday when we actually had recess and nap time.

Summer went slowly, but surely. I think it was the perfect length :) I started off by going to Minnesota Girls' State League. (Basically a government camp I was selected to attend.) SO amazing! I loved it. It was held at Bethel University in the cities (where I possibly want to attend next year?) so that was fun! I met so many amazing young women. We had elections for governor and such. I was a page in the state capitol! (I got to go between the house and the senate with important bills...and got to go behind the scenes as if I were an actual page!)

I got back & literally the next day I left for London, United Kingdom! My daddy took me for a father/daughter trip. It was a ton of fun! I loved Windsor Castle :) London is quite large and cluttered...but the countryside is beautiful. I also loved the London Tower Bridge. It was a fun time :)

The next week was VBS...so I taught literally 91 3-5 year olds! SO crazy. A lot of people don't know how to handle kids..so that's hard. I played a ton of games and sang a lot of songs to keep them under control! (5 little monkies sitting in a tree..teasing Mr. Alligator; can't catch me!!)

I had a week of rest and then we went to Yellowstone! Yellowstone National Park: the only place you can get away with stopping your car to take pictures of deer. It was a family vaca...so the family was fun, but I'm more of a historical person than a national park person. I miss Virginia!

Theeennn the next week I went to Camp Lebanon. (A Christian camp in northern MN). That was fun, as always :) Met some pretty fabulous people...

The definite highlight of my summer: FAMILY CAMP! lol...ironically I did not attend with my family. My best friend Rachel & I spent a week in a tent! haha it was SO amazingly fabulous. Highlights: late night talks with Rachel and Macai, not being able to sleep until 4 in the morning, talking to Ryan and Rach until 3, being caught in a HORRIBLE thunderstorm and our tent leaking, chapel and singing every morning, lots of talks with John :), discovering someone took a glowstick off the glowstick path at midnight & being scared half to death, singing at the top of our lungs because it was so scary, and finally: TIPPING A ROW BOAT WITH ERIC FOLEY!!!

Did you know it's supposed to be impossible to tip a row boat?!

summer, college, birthday
