Some Simon and Clary ...
Artist unknown ... I don't even remember anymore where I came across it ...
Lovely shared moment between the two best friends before their world probably wnet to hell ... Love how close they are sitting together whilst both being so engrossed in the video game they are playing. The colors are vived and make me think of - my apologies - "nerds". Perhaps the fact that they are both wearing glasses and that their outfits also fit geeky kids adds also to the atmosphere this drawing breaths. But there is nothing wrong with being a "nerd". They are wonderful people too and Simon and Clary sure proved that in the books. By the way, Clary's socks, the rim of her skirt and her shirt seem to glow ... Love that.
And here we have another artistles drawing ... Yeah, I suck at times. It was found on deviantART though if we can go by the watermark in the drawing, LOL.
This feels like it belongs to the first book. Although Clary sure has gotten too many runes then, LOL. But I think they just refer to her being a Shadowhunter here. Love how Simon got a bow and arrows since he is the hero that saves the day in City of Bones with a classy bow and arrow shot. Thank you vacation camp where he learned to shoot a bow!
Simon still looks so young and untainted here whilst Clary actually already looks like she has been around in the Shadowworld for years. As if she is the one dragging Simon into the world cause he is needed in the Shadowworld to save the day ... Which in a way is true since Simon follows Clary to the Shadowworld due to their friendship and without him, many wouldn't be standing anymore at the end of the Mortal Instruments series. Simon sure had his role to play ... A role of importance!

http://walkingnorth.tumblr.com/tagged/ari-draws-things Gorgeous, right? Adore how they grow up throughout the four panels. Two geeky kids at first, covered in paint, probably thanks to Clary's painting hobby. And look how happy Clary looks! Simon looks a bit sheepish as if he isn't quite sure what to think.
Then a bit older, together awed by the beauty of snowfall and perhaps this refers to how they always went Christmas shopping together in the snow as gets mentioned in City of Heavenly Fire ...
Even older then and looking truly like best friends. They are comfortable around each other. Know they can count on the other no matter what.
And then finally, the Shadowhunters' world that could have torn them apart, but didn't. Their bond was too strong to be forgotten. The passion burning within their heart for each other was too fierce to be extinguished. Just look at that embrace and how thankful and relieved and happy Clary is that she has Simon back ...
Wonderful four panel! Adore also the colours that got used. They fit the different stages of their growing up together so perfectly. A true work of ART!
Here are the different panels individually and a bit larger:
