Yohji looks resigned in their fate of being locked up. Hey, he can still smoke so the boy is fine for a part. Omi looks like he doesn't know what to think of their confinement whilst Ken is having a ball it seems. Not sure what Ran thinks of it all ... Cute and fun idea. Like how their prison uniforms are alike and still are unique in their own way. And the bars upfront are a super extra touch. Just as the handwrists. Lovely art.
A simple nice one of Ken, the boy resembling the official art brought out manga wise and in other official art occasions. And he's been given brown eyes here. I prefer him with aquamarine ones though ... But the smug look on his face, the bangs obscurring his eyes ... It is Ken. The ear especially is greatly drawn in my opinion. Butw hat do I know, right? LOL
Ken and Ran during the OVA timeline if the clothing is anything to go by. Love how they are represented here since in the OVA they also pretend to be on opposite sides, the final duel coming even down to them ... Adore how they stare intensily in eahc other's eyes and how Ran is cradling Ken's head in such a gentle way. He doesn't wnat to hurt Ken, just like he didn't want to hurt Ken for real in the OVA. The sky background makes it feel like Ken is going for a free fall and in a way he did if you recall the OVA events. Ran is there to catch him ... sadly it won't be enough ... Not yet anyway.
