1. the first time kyuhyun is introduced to the other 12 members of super junior, he's more than a little bit overwhelmed. leeteuk, kangin, donghae, eunhyuk, sungmin, yesung, siwon, hangeng, heechul, shindong, kibum. and then there was ryeowook. ryeowook who greeted him shyly with a bright smile and two handed wave.
he gets close with donghae and the leader quickly, along with his gaming buddies, but he remembers ryeowook the most.
2. the fifth time kyuhyun wakes up to find ryeowook cooking breakfast in the kitchen at the grossly time of five in the morning, he goes up and reties the knot of ryeowook's apron. first, second, third, fourth's time; he watched from the doorway until someone else's footsteps was heard. this time, he grins, says good morning when ryeowook looks surprised at him, mouth slightly open. kyuhyun just grins and then ryeowook grins back and kyuhyun thinks that he wouldn't mind seeing this every morning.
so he does. sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and every time after that; he wakes up at the horrid time of five in the morning and helps set the table. they talk and laugh and kyuhyun thinks that that's enough.
3. super junior k.r.y. happens and yewook fan service is getting more and more ridiculous than ever, and kyuhyun decides that no, it's not enough.
yesung is oblivious to his glares, ryeowook more so oblivious to the pair. three days after and kyuhyun just stops. he stops waking up early, stops eating regularly, tries hard to stop his heart from aching.
4. when they're in china, kyuhyun gets a new maybe-friend that calls him by his chinese name that reminds him of his chinese fans. ryeowook also gets a new fan service buddy that kyuhyun doesn't glare at, because the boy's got cute cheeks and hopeful eyes.
kyuhyun doesn't say anything because he said he'd stop, and he's still kyuhyun, and it's okay.
5. one night, suju-m goes out to celebrate. kyuhyun doesn't remember what for exactly, but hangeng's excited to be showing them parts of the home that he has always loved. they buy snacks and a couple drinks, then head out to this bridge that hangeng found when he was younger, overlooking a small river that no one ever goes to. the place is nicely lit and it's breezy, and kyuhyun can see fireflies playing near the water.
kyuhyun sits near the edge, away from the others who already sound like they're just a little bit tipsy, and skips rocks across the lake. someone joins in next to him, warm against his shoulder. ryeowook stutters a hi, and smiles nervously at kyuhyun, hands fluttering in his lap; and then kyuhyun gets it.
he doesn't remember the occasion, why they're celebrating, but he doesn't forget that moment; doubts he'd ever be able to forget the first time they kissed -- ryeowook soft and warm against him, smile pulling at his lips, with his friend's laughter as the background, alight with firefly dreams.
uhm. i know the transitions are really off and the ending was sudden but D: i'm not used to writing non-hyuk, non-hanchul stuff so i hope this is okay ;-; kinda long for a drabble but maybe you like it anyways? /DDD:
